What is Wivisi.com?

Wevisi.com is a social website for sharing pictures and chating about them in real time with other members. Uploaded images are displayed within seconds and imediate feedback can be provided through a chat box. Wevisi.com is also a website where you can simply browse pictures and images on different topics.


How do I upload my pictures and images?

Once you have logged into our website, you can upload your first image by following these steps:

1. Choose a topic page.

2. Click on the "Choose File" button right side of your screen.

3. Browse through your device's folders and select the JPG image you want to upload. If using a tablet or smartphone you also have the option of taking a new picture to upload.

4. Once you have selected your picture, fill out the message space with a description or comment about your picture.

5. Click on the upload button and your picture will be published within a few seconds. Large files and slow internet connections will take longer to upload.

6. Your uploaded image will remain visible on the website until it is replaced by a new image submitted by a user.

7. Other members can post comments about your picture and you can reply in the chat window on the left.

8. If you uploaded the wrong image or simply want to delete any image, click on the red DELETE button on the lower right corner.


What is the Test Drive page?

The Test Drive page is a special page we created to make it easy for you to test our website. Here you can upload images and post comments without a login before signing up to use all the webste features. It allows you to quickly experience our website and start sharing images immediately.


What file formats can be uploaded?

Images and pictures must be in the JPG and jpg file formats which are the default format for most digital cameras and smartphones.


What size picture can I upload?

You can upload JPG files up to 12 Mb which allows you to upload most pictures taken on digital cameras and smartphones up to 16MP. Images are downsized for faster uploads before being displayed on our website so uploading larger image files does not necessarily result in better image quality. For smaller file sizes and faster uploads, use the lower resolution settings on your digital camera or phone or use a photo editing software to reduce the image size.


How do I know the file size of my image?

You can find the file size of your images by checking the image details and properties on your device. Your picture file size depends on the resolution settings of your digital camera or smartphone. Higher resolutions and higher quality setting result in larger file sizes. For example, a typical 8 megapixel camera will store pictures with file sizes between 3Mb and 5Mb. A 16 megapixel camera will store pictures with file sizes between 5Mb and 10Mb.


Do I need to sign up to view the pictures?

No, you do not need to sign up or log in to simply view pictures on our website. You do however need to sign up and log in to upload images, post comments, rate images or participate on our specific topic pages. We do offer a special test drive page where you can upload images and post comments without a login.


When are the uploaded images published on the website?

The images that you upload are displayed within seconds after being uploaded. The image remains available for viewing until it is replaced by a new picture on the same topic or deleted. What you see is what is happening at that moment.


How often should I upload an images?

You can upload images as often as you want. The content on this website is provided by our community of users so we encourage you to upload pictures every time you visit the website or whenever you have something interesting to share.


Are the images and comments that I upload kept private?

The images and chat comments that you upload along with your username can be viewed by all other users of the website.


How am I identified to other member on the Wevisi website?

Your username is posted in brackets next to your picture comment. Your username is also posted in brackets next to each post in the chat box. It is a way for members to know who is posting images and comments. It also allows viewers to associate images with specific members so you can build your reputation on the Wevisi website.


Is my username shown to other users?

Yes, your username is displayed under the image that you upload and also in any chat comments that you submit. Your username is your identity on Wevisi.com .


What are the small numbers on each picture?

The numbers in the upper left corner are the time stamp (GMT time zone) of when the picture was uploaded. You can use the time stamp to know how long ago the picture was published.


Can other website viewers save my image and comments?

Yes, everything published on any website can be saved by others users.


What types of pictures and images can I upload?

Although you can upload any picture that conforms to our terms of service, we encourage uploading interesting pictures that other viewers will enjoy. To protect your privacy, avoid uploading personal pictures and personal information.


Are any types on pictures or images prohibited?

Images or comments that are offensive, defamatory, contain profanity, depict acts of violence, nudity or pornography are prohibited. Information and images that violates any laws, is illegal or infringes upon the copyrights of others is prohibited. Read our terms and conditions for details.

No, the images and comments must not be used for advertising or marketing purposes.


What is the story about the page background?

The background will be updated periodically so you will notice changes to the background image.


How is Wevisi.com different to other (social) websites?

Our website is different in many ways; uploaded images can be viewed by anyone visiting the website, a login is not required for simply viewing the website, images are not displayed as an album and are constantly being replaced by new images so the content is always fresh. This is a website for sharing images, comments and news in real time and not a place to store old images and albums.


How can I delete an image?

Use the red delete button in the lower right corner. The deleted image is then replaced by a stock image until a new member image is uploaded.


What are the review buttons?

These buttons allow you to give a score for the current posted image on a 1 to 5 scale, much like leaving a review score. 1 is the lowest score and 5 is the highest score. The average score is displayed to the right along with the number of scores submitted by members.


How can I follow images on several different topics at the same time?

Simply open each topic page in a separate browser window on your computer. For example, if you divide your screen into four browser windows, you can follow four separate topics and post images and comments in each one independently and almost simultaneously.


Can I use a tablet or smartphone to upload images?

Yes, our website supports images and comments submitted from tablets and smartphones, allowing almost instant picture uploads from anywhere in the world. It has been tested using several models of the iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets and should work fine on many other devices. You should use your device with the screen in the landscape position for better viewing.


How can I start a new special interest page for uploading images on my favorit topic?

Does Wevisi charge any fees?

No, we do not charge any fees and you can access the website as a free service.


Why is this website "beta"?

Beta means this is a new website where new features are still being introduced and evaluated. We appreciate your feedback and comments so tell us what you think.


My images are not getting published, what is happening?

If your image file size is above the size limit (12Mb) or is not in the correct JPG or jpg file format it will not be published. Also, if multiple images are uploaded by different members at the same time on the same page, some will not be published. Images are published in real time on a first-come first-served basis. We do not store unused images for future publishing. Keep trying!


Why am I having trouble logging in?

You may have entered the wrong email address or password.


Why am I am having trouble signing up?

To sign up and register as a new member you must provide a valid email address and your password must have at least eight characters. Upper case and lower case are treated different. These are the most common reasons why a sign up does not go through


What information does Wevisi collect from users?
